I choose this website because it provides a lot of information different security measures, including different firewalls and anti-virus programs that are more for home or personal use rather than enterprise or corporate level. This is a good site to learn about basic network and internet security and a lot of information is provided on different versions and products offered by different providers as well as information on free computer security products that can be used. Reviews are there as well from users that have actually used these services and programs. It even has a store where you can order different products as well as forums where you can post questions and talk to other users and help topics in virtually any field that is security related. This site is a great place to learn about computer security and a great place to find out information on getting compatible products that can create a safe, stable and secure environment for computing, especially in these times where viruses and other malicious programs/software are so rampant.

You can learn what sorts of different application and services are offered and there are sections where people can post up reviews on those services and service providers. There is also a listing of different providers that also details what specific services they offer as well as reviews for them. You can find out almost anything about these services on this website and even request quotes from it. New technological advancements on SaaS services and abilities are also posted as well as a news section. This site also has links to learn and find providers for web hosting, dedicated servers, domains and even online backup. This is a good place to learn about different services out there and would be a great place to start when looking for specific services for any company where IS components are critical.

I choose this website because it seems to be a good source for information on different online and offsite backup and recovery services which charge you annual or per use fees to store data on their servers that you can access anytime. This sort of service is a good way to ensure that all data is recoverable even if a disaster occurred that shut down or destroyed all physical hardware resources. Many companies can use this service as an extra backup plan in case an emergency did occur. This site describes different providers that offer these services and you can see reviews on these different providers. It also provides a description and definitions for backup services and describes the different levels of services that are offered or available, that even common everyday home users can use and also describes good practices for frequent backups so that no necessary data is lost in case of an extreme situation. This site is a good starting point for a beginner user trying to find out more information on data backup options and for companies looking for specific providers.

You can find information for different systems currently being offered for desktops, laptops and even servers and there is a wealth of knowledge in this site about the different specifications these systems need to run and there are even links that will take you to see reviews from people who downloaded these systems. For someone who is trying to find out more about what is offered out there in regards to free operating systems, this site is a great place to start. You can download free E-books on different information technology topics and you can even find out information on different programming languages like C++. You can learn more about different kinds of software and even download free software for your computer from this site as well as free icons, graphics and much more. Anyone can send information to this site that can be posted up and this is a classic freeware site that many contribute their knowledge to, and is reliable in that it doesn’t have direct affiliates and doesn’t press certain devices or brands. Anyone looking to find out more information in the information technology and systems field can go to this site and can learn from it.

I choose this website because it is appears to be a good site to find integrated development environments suites that are very platform specific. This site offers solutions for not only information technology fields, as well as programming fields, but also in the consumer electronics, military, real time control system, networking, aerospace, and even automobile and transportation fields. They offer ASIC and embedded design services and also help in making and developing all sorts of design models from system development models, to design models and many others. They even have a listing of workshops that people can attend who are in these fields that want more information. This site is much more technology based and doesn’t offer any information pages describing what most of its products do probably due to how most people and companies who would be looking for these products should already have a good basic understanding of how they work and what they do but this site would be a great place to go to look for these developmental tools for one who needed them to work on networking and programming solutions.

I choose this website because it is a good place to look at different reviews on different brands and kinds of printers which can help you decide on which would work the best for you and provide the most benefit for the most affordable price. It also holds reviews for laptops, desktops, tablet PCs, cellphones, and digital cameras and it very comprehensive and gives you more information that you could almost ever need. You can go do a sublink which is located at URL: http://www.printercomparison.com/search/ which is a guide that explains what the different kinds of printers are known for (dye sublimation, inkjet, laser, solid ink) and allows you to choose a category so that all the printers you see from that point on will be from that one category only. At that point you can look at different brands, speeds, capabilities and prices to choose which is the right one for you. This site appears to show unbiased information that was received from regular consumers (as in the reviews) and information from the manufacturers as well (in regards to actual specifics with components and such). This site is a technology store that offers all kinds of different input and output devices from computer components such as speakers, scanners, networking equipment, audio, video, adapters, etc. You can find almost anything computer component here that you can think of and if you can’t find it you can e-mail the technology team that runs the website and they will see if they can find somewhere for you to purchase the part(s) from. This site is a good way to look at and compare different models and brands of computer products and a good way to learn about different input/output devices that are available out there which numbers in the thousands. Sites like this one are a great way to learn about what is out there in regards to computers, although this particular website is much more geared towards Mac’s and Apple products versus PC products. You can, however, find many sites just like this one that offers the same services for PC products and those from more generic brands. You can even rent equipment through this site to test it out first before committing to buying which is another plus for those that are not fully computer savvy or for those just wishing to try out different components to see how they would work with their system.

I choose this website because it can be a valuable tool I believe in assisting you to see if you have enough RAM in your system to achieve the things you want or need to be able to do with your computing system. This site can run a diagnostic tool on your computer that will tell you exactly what kind of RAM you have, what condition it is in, how much you have and how much of it is being used to run the processes that your computer needs to run. This tool can give you some great advice on what you could do to dramatically speed up your system. With many systems, as it is explained in our textbook, the CPU processing power is more than enough for the programs and things you need to run on your computer but a lot of times what slows down your system or even crashes it is that there is not enough primary memory (RAM) to keep your CPU supplied with the information it needs to run your system and to keep it processing at an appropriate speed. This tool can help you see if how much or what kind of RAM your system uses is what is making your system appear to not be running at its optimal best and this site also has a store where you can purchase RAM (and the site will tell you exactly what kind your computer needs to run or can run when you run the diagnostic tool). I believe that this site and its tools can be very beneficial in testing and upgrading your system speed.

This website contains separate benchmark lists (which are basically lists of different hardware, software components that they tested to measure their performance capabilities) for different kinds of CPU’s designed for servers and workstations (Intel Xeon and AMD Opteron processors), desktop CPUs (Intel Core2 Quad, Intel Core i7, Intel Core2 Extreme and AMD Phenom II processors), in addition to mobile CPUs. It also lists different benchmarks for hyperthreaded CPU’s as well as single or multi-core versions and compares different brands such as AMD and Intel. This site also has other benchmark lists for video cards, hard drives, system and even security reports which are good places to go to if you are interested in searching for replacement or upgrade components or if you are interested in building your own computer. You can also buy normal maintenance equipment as well as professional maintenance equipment for your computer components on this website’s online store and post in its forums to have questions you may have answered through other persons/customers that go unto the website as well as by professionals that work for the site. This site is the main site for the Unicode Consortium which was developed in 1991 by several computer companies to develop a multilingual character-encoding standard that will work with all written languages. This site contains historical information that describes the process that was worked through to develop the different standards they created, including the latest which is Unicode 5.2.0. All relevant information about this new code is detailed on this site showing what additions were added to the code. Guidelines for using the code as well as basic information describing how the code works and what can now be done with it is also on this site. All in all this site is a great source about character coding and what the future could bring to even further the codes already in place. The fact that all written languages will be and mostly are already included in this code means that the computing age literally has now become a worldwide phenomenon in which anyone from any culture can become a part of. There is no longer a need for people to have to learn the English language or other more European languages to be able to use computers and their applications...now anyone anywhere can become part of what people call this age, the second industrial revolution.

This website is the main IBM site that lists the different mainframe servers that IBM currently has out and lists all the details of those servers from their output capacity to the processor and memory capabilities of their different servers. I choose this website because it is a good site to look at what current mainframes (servers) can do and what their capacities are. The topic of mainframes is covered under page 35 in out textbook and it describes the mainframe computer systems are those that can handle the information-processing needs of large numbers of users and applications. Mainframes can handle huge amounts of data and are able to transfer these large amounts of data very quickly with differentiates them from microcomputers and midrange computers. I thought this website was a good way to learn more about mainframes and to see just how large their capacities are from other types of computers.

The site is organized to help the viewers will be aided with all the required queries they have. The home page has various links to the fundamental questions in the field of software architecture. Anyone active in the said field can benefit from the updating system of the website to facilitate with the news and related publications. It shows the primary goals of architects are directed towards the standards in technicality in coding and its application in congruence to the field requirement. Software architects rarely take part with the physical aspects of the industry instead they are after the more flexible aspect of the structure.
